Faenza Prize registration

The Premio Faenza International Competition is among the world’s most important competitions in the field of contemporary ceramic art. First established in 1938 as a national event, it was extended to the international arena in 1963. Announced annually, except during the years of World War II, it has become biennial since 1989 and has seen the participation of thousands of Italian and foreign artists during its more than sixty editions.

Stages of the competition

01 Application of works

Extended to Dec. 19, 2022 for works to be nominated.

02 First degree selection

The jury, by January 31, 2023 , will make the selection of works to be admitted to the Competition.

Admission to the Competition and submission details will be communicated to artists via e-mail by February 15, 2023.

03 Second degree selection

By May 15, 2023 , the Jury will review the submitted works and award the Prizes.

04 Award ceremony and exhibition

The award ceremony will take place in Faenza on Friday, June 30, 2023, and will be preceded by a lecture/presentation of the award-winning artists.

All works admitted to the second grade will be displayed in the exhibition from July 1 to October 29, 2023.

Instructions for compilation

You will be asked to enter your biographical data and upload a copy of an identity document

If you are a group, the names of all members will be required

You will need to upload at least one photograph of the work
